What are the different king size beds?
There are seven kings size beds. These beds are the Alaskan king, Texas king, Wyoming king, split California king, California king, split king, and the regular king bed. The Alaskan king size bed is the biggest while the regular king bed is the smallest. Below is a list of every king size bed and their dimensions.
Alaskan King
Dimensions: 108″ x 108″
Best for: Couples, Familys
The Alaskan King size measures 108 inches wide and 108 inches long. While there are other sizes available, this is the most traditional and well-known size
Texas King
Dimensions: 98″ x 80″, 80″ x 98″
Best for: Couples, Single Sleepers
The Texas king bed is the second-largest king size. It measures 80 inches by 98 inches. You can rotate the mattress 90 degrees, depending if you prefer a bigger width or a bigger length. People who are 7 feet high or taller prefer the Texas king since it’s the first bed size they can fit in.
Wyoming King
Dimensions: 84″ x 84″
Best for: Couples, Single Sleepers
The Wyoming king bed size measures 84 inches by 84 inches. The Wyoming king has the same length as the California king, but has a bigger width. It is good for couples who are happy with the length of the California king, but prefer more width space.
Split California King

This bed is usually made for split California king adjustable beds. Many adjustable beds also come in this size. The split mattress is perfect for couples who have different comfort preferences, allowing them to sleep on the same bed but on different mattresses.
California King

The California king measures 72 inches by 84 inches. Another name for the California king size is the western king. This bed is good for people who are between 6 and 7 feet tall. It is also good for couples who sleep on the same bed, but prefer a lot of room.
Split King

The split king size is for a split king adjustable bed. Each part side of the mattress measures 38 inches by 80 inches.
King
Dimensions: 76″ x 80″
Best for: Couples, Single Sleepers
The king size bed measures 76 inches by 80 inches. A standard king bed is also sometimes called a eastern king bed. This king bed is the most common. This bed is common for couples or for single sleepers who are tall or who prefer a lot of space.
Triple King
Dimensions: Many
Best for: Couples, Single Sleepers
A triple king bed is an adult bunk bed that has three king mattresses in three bunk beds. The triple king bed is not common in physical stores. You have a better chance of finding one online. The bed is good for guest and saving spaces.
